VISIO. Moving Images After Post-Internet on display at the Strozzina

VISIO. Moving Images After Post-Internet, will be on display at the Strozzina of Palazzo Strozzi.only until December 1st .
The exhibition brings together and promotes the works of 12 young artists, all under 35, who participated in the VIII edition of VISIO. European Program on Artists ’Moving Images, a project promoted and realized by the Screen of the art Film Festival and curated by Leonardo Bigazzi.
The artists, selected through an international call, come from all over Europe: Rebecca Jane Arthur (1984, Great Britain / Belgium), Miguel Azuaga (1988, Spain / Germany), Patrick Alan Banfield (1984, Great Britain / Germany), Enar de Dios Rodriguez (1986, Spain / Austria), Eva Giolo (1991, Belgium), Inas Halabi (1988, Palestine / Holland), Polina Kanis (1985, Russia / Holland), Adam Kaplan (1987, Israel / Germany), Valentina Knežević (1989, Croatia / Germany), Agnieszka Mastalerz (1991, Poland / Germany), Jacopo Rinaldi (1988, Italy), Igor Simić (1988, Serbia).

It’s a fact that computer and smartphone screens have become the main medium through which images and videos are shared, thus redefining the relationship between the public and the artwork.
Through the use of virtual reality (VR), CGI images, video games, videos and films; young artists influenced by the changes brought about by the digital revolution, face important and current issues here: gender identity, the boundary between real and virtual, memory and its value, the relationship between man and animal, the normalization of violence and much more.
An exhibition made of moving images and interesting reflections on the modern world, that everyone can appreciate.
