The never been seen. Arts and Alchemy. The Foundry of the Uffizi: from laboratory to cabinet of curiosities

This exhibition, a collaboration between the Uffizi Gallery and the Association of Amici degli Uffizi, highlights a little known aspect of the Medici Court: the passion for alchemy. Through paintings, sculptures, engravings, manuscripts and ancient pharmaceutical and alchemical instruments used to create medicines and magic potions, this world of magics and alchemy, held in high esteem and intensively cultivated in the Medici Court, comes finally to light.
