Green Line lights up Florence

The Green Line light festival, which since last year has taken the place of F – Light and illuminates the buildings symbol of Florence is back.
This year's theme is The Winter Garden and invites us to focus on caring for the planet, which is our home and garden, too often neglected.
At Palazzo Medici Riccardi the lights illuminate the Medici Garden: the statues and the lemon house and orange trees will be colored with the tones of these citrus fruits so loved by the Medici family and often reproduced in Renaissance paintings and decorations.
Special "gardens" of light are projected onto Palazzo Vecchio and Ponte Vecchio, symbolic places of Florence.

The video projection entitled HELLO! is projected on the facade of Palazzo Vecchio, the result of the work of Francesco Cacchiani, curated by Alessandra Iaolé.
Inside the building, however, there is Oltre, one of the final events of Melma, the project conceived by Nico Vascellari and inaugurated with the exhibition at the Forte Belvedere in June which then continued with the performance Alessio in the Salone dei Cinquecento, where we can admire the work that is part of the project.
The focal point of Green Line remains the video mapping on the Ponte Vecchio: created by Stefano Fake & The Fake Factory, edited by Sergio Risaliti.
Finally, special and permanent lighting was installed by Firenze Smart to illuminate the towers and gates of the city and the facade of the Church of San Marco.
The festival of lights started on 8 December and will continue until 7 January, with screenings active from 5.30pm to 10pm. Don't miss it!
